EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
During the year 2023, TaTEDO SESO implemented several activities that provided sustainable energy support services and fostered enabling environment at the national and in rural and urban areas of eight regions, twenty-eight districts, and seventy sites in rural and urban areas of Tanzania. The eight regions are Dar es Salaam, Morogoro, Dodoma, Kilimanjaro, Coast, Lindi, Mtwara, and Ruvuma.
The target groups for the above-mentioned interventions include stove artisans, liner producers, charcoal producers, charcoal vendors, solar technicians, stove masons, sales and marketing agents, women groups, micro- financial institutions (MFIs), decision-makers, and policy-makers. The main beneficiaries of TaTEDO-SESO’s interventions are among others; households, small and medium enterprises, and institutions. The organization focused its interventions on the four pillars of sustainable energy: energy access, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and clean cooking.
The adopted approach included the provision of support services and fostering enabling environment. Through such an approach and in the efforts to achieve its mission and vision, a number of projects were implemented with the support of different development partners including SIDA, WWF, EU, WRI, UKAIDS, MECS, etc. We are sincerely grateful to these development partners for their generous and continuous support which helped us to successfully implement the following projects.
